Morning Star’s cruising ground the Channel Islands National Park. Referred to as the American Galapagos, this wilderness covers 5 pristine uninhabited islands and the surrounding sea; providing the visitor with an opportunity to encounter diverse species – from the microscopic to the earth’s largest creature, the blue whale. Dolphins often ride our bow wake and the sight of huge basking sharks, whales, seals, sea lions and sea elephants are not uncommon; and many land mammals, sea birds, fish, giant kelp forests and other marine plants and animals thrive on the islands, the mainland and in the clear clean water and air.
